- Unplug, dry plug + outlet, check drip loop – see setup.
- Inspect cord full run for chew/nicks – replace, don't tape in coop.
- Test heater on different GFCI with no extension – if still trips, element failing, replace.
- Check load – 100W + 250W lamp on 15A garage circuit with freezer = nuisance trip. Dedicate circuit.
